Carol Lynley

Lynley was the daughter of an Irish father and an Irish father and a New England mother. Before becoming an actress, she began modeling as a young model. She won the Theatre World Award in 1956-57 for her role in The Potting Shed. Lynley began her career in film in the year 1958 by appearing in the Disney film The Light in the Forest. She was followed by Holiday for Lovers (1959) and Blue Denim (1959). In 1959, she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Female Newcomer Female. She was nominated to the Golden Globe Award again for the most promising youngcomer of female a year later in the film Blue Denim.
