Moroccan-born Sofia Pernas moved to California when she was just 5 years old. She grew up in Orange County. In the year 2015, she graduated from the University of California San Diego and received her first big break as an actress. Pernas she had appeared in small appearances in NCIS and Leverage prior to landing the part of Marisa on The Young and the Restless, was a familiar face on the soap opera. It was revealed that Chrishell Stause (the wife of the This Is Us actor) left him in November 2019 and Pernas started dating Hartley. News was reported the following month in 2021 that Pernas and Hartley recently tied the knot in a secret ceremony.
