Alison Maria Krauss was born in July of 1971. Alison is an American bluegrass singer and country musician. Her first job was in the music business at a very young age. At the age 10 years old, she took part in local contests and recorded her first album. In 1985, she enrolled with Rounder Records and in 1987 released her debut solo album. The year 1989 saw her asked to be a part of Alison Krauss & Union Station who she is a part of.
